My main goal is to empower the people I work with to write their own stories in a way that’s meaningful to them, even if that means needing some help along the way. I believe that as humans we are interdependentand need each other’s support, but that we need the right support to get where we’re trying to go. How can I best support you in building the life for you?
I believe in having a collaborative relationship to work on goals together. I believe clients are the experts of their own problems, and that I’m here to help you use your own expertise on your life to go from surviving to thriving. I don’t want to help you just cope, I want to empower you to push against the circumstances and struggles that impact you and help to see your own ability for solving problems your way.
During my undergraduate education I obtained dual degrees in psychology and sociology, and then obtained my master's in social work from Kutztown University. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I’ve had about 5 years of clinical experience including:
I have experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, poor self-esteem, abuse, and difficult life-transitions, alongside assisting families and groups with these needs.
From a humanistic client-centered perspective, I practice:
I am working towards developing more art and music curriculum, strengthening my skills in play therapy, and obtaining training and certification with Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
