I started my career in mental health as a student at Northampton Community College (NCC) where I graduated with my Associate’s degree in Psychology. I transferred to East Stroudsburg University (ESU) where I got my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a certificate in Crisis Intervention. While at ESU, I interned for Upward Bound and worked one-on-one with high school students. I assessed students’ needs like family issues, career interests, goal setting, prioritizing, time management, and test anxiety. In December 2019, I started working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I worked with the children by going into the community and supporting them with their communication and social skills. I recently graduated with my Masters's of Arts in Mental Health and Wellness from New York University (NYU).
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with ASD, depression, anxiety, and Bipolar. I have also helped clients who have difficulties with negative body image and ADHD. My counseling style is a holistic approach with strength-based interventions including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. I like to look at a person as a whole and believe that every individual is different and should be approached differently based on their needs.
