My initial start in the mental health field was working with at risk youth as a mental health technician for a residential facility. I attended Kutztown University simultaneously and received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduation, I then began working within the community as a behavioral health technician, working with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. I had the rewarding experience of assisting these children in improving distress tolerance, emotional regulation, communication, social skills, and goal achievement.
I most recently received a Masters of Art in Clinical Counseling through Moravian University. During my master's degree, I was able to gain experience and knowledge working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient mental health setting. I have experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, bipolar, ASD, and schizophrenia. I have a passion for working with adults and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have historically leaned toward person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and humanistic approaches in the treatment setting.
My intention is to create a safe space that promotes vulnerability, authenticity, self-understanding, and an increased sense of control over one’s life. You have the power and you have the ability to navigate your journey toward growth and healing, and I am simply in a role of support. I very much look forward to being at your side in this personal healing journey and in achieving your unique goals.
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”
