"Helping people find their way to better health is my passion and goal as an Acupuncturist.  I chose to study Chinese Medicine because of its holistic approach to healing and resonance with nature.  I fell in love with Chinese Medicine because it helped me feel better.  I have been witnessed to, and experienced firsthand, the transformative power of Acupuncture treatments.  It has been a privilege to practice this beautiful medicine and an honor to be of service to all those who seek it."

Ilyse holds a Masters of Acupuncture degree from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies where she completed a three-year intensive program of Acupuncture and Meditation studies.  Ilyse is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, meeting the national standards for the safe and competent practice of Acupuncture as defined by the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine profession.  In 2005 she completed a ten-month Medical Qigong teaching apprentice program with The Heart of Healing in Westtown, PA and has taught at both Sanktuary Yoga in Lansdale, PA and The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa in Lehighton, PA.  As an acupuncturist, Ilyse utilizes her training in Worsely Five Element and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) styles, among others.  In her study of Chinese medicine, Ilyse has come to the knowledge that illness and health are individual to each person, therefore, it is of utmost importance to create a tailored approach to healthcare.  It is her goal as a practitioner of Acupuncture to address not only the physical health concerns of her patients but the mental, emotional and spirit aspects of their being as well; to bring her patients back to wholeness in body, mind, and spirit, so they can live life to their full potential.

As a Massage Therapist, Reiki Master/Teacher, Holistic Life Coach and RN, I have a passion for assisting my clients in their whole-person wellness journeys. Through the use of massage, reiki and self-reflection tools, I help my clients discover how to become empowered in all aspects of their lives including self-management of chronic conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression. My varied and skilled background offers a unique perspective that I am honored to share with clients. I understand traditional medicine, as well as spiritual practice, and offer a nonjudgmental, holistic approach to well-being that works on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Everyone needs not only to listen to their own wisdom but also have active Life Listening where they feel heard and seen in all aspects of their being as a whole person. It is the vision of this holistic health practice to integrate modalities that address the needs of the individual that are often not met within the traditional medical model. As a nurse of over 25 years, I have seen how this is often overlooked causing pain and suffering. It was my personal experience with massage and other complementary therapies after injury rather than medical treatment alone that restored me. Over that long journey, the vision of Life Listening was born to blend Eastern and Western approaches to health and well-being utilizing massage for the body, Holistic Life Coaching using the Flinders Chronic Condition Management Interview Process and Tools for the mind, and Reiki for the spirit.

I have worked successfully in the healthcare field in multiple roles as a nurse, hospital supervisor, and practice coach for over 25 years. I earned my BSN from Cedar Crest College and received my Masters in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. Additionally, I am a Master Trainer for the Flinders Chronic Condition Management Program. Areas of special interest are spirituality, resiliency, mentoring, and holistic self-care.   I recently am certified in Bamboo Fusion ® It is a massage technique using warm, smooth bamboo.
