I have been working in the mental health field for almost 20 years. I started my career working in the mental health field as a case manager with the blind and visually impaired. I have always had a desire to help others transform and improve their mental health.
I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Kings College which allowed me to use my skills as a family-based therapist. While working closely with children, adolescents, and families, it created a path for what I really wanted to focus on- the improvement of mental health in the community. After several years of working with children, adolescents, and families in other therapeutic environments, I completed my master's degree in social work from Marywood University. This allowed me to branch out from community based to outpatient mental health as a therapist.
Since working in the field, my passion has been dedicated to helping those with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Schizophrenia. My mental health experience has led me to working in a partial hospitalization program, as an outpatient mental health therapist and as a crisis worker. My techniques are strength based and person centered. My goal for working with my clients is for them to have a calm and safe environment to be able to talk openly, see they are truly amazing people, and be kinder to themselves.
“Your mental health journey is unique to you.”
